| Customer Reviews: shipping delays September 8, 2010 whatever The item is a quality item. No problem there. Its the shipping delays that I cant tolerate. As a builder of custom built computers I have deadlines to meet to keep my customers happy. Shipping delays are unacceptable in my business. If a item is said to ship in a certain timeframe by the seller it should be shipped within this time period. A sellers lack of inventory control or some sort of accurate inventory management is not my problem & should not effect my business. The repeated emails saying "your item is in the shipping process" that I have been recieving for days now only say that the iten was NOT in stock as claimed. The last email blaming the "supplier" for the shipping delay tell me the item was not in stock as claimed. In short I will not be buying from this seller again.
Great Fan September 7, 2010 C. Gifford (Portland OR) Great Fan, fits perfectly, looks cool in my case and is very quite. Did I need it no, the case came with all I needed. The extra led's are cool and this fan did exactly what it said it would.
Awesome Awesome Awesome!! January 21, 2010 Jeff (Blackfoot, Idaho) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Very good fan for $20. Ordered this for a Coolermaster 922 case that already had 2 of them. Put this one on the side panel and wow the airflow through my case is unbelieveable!! 1- Front mount 200mm drawing in, 1-Side mount 200mm drawing in, 1-top mount 200mm blowing out, and one rear panel 120mm blowing out. Great cooling with this combo. Easy to connect, light is neat.
Great purchase!! Buy 75 of them!! :)
quiet huge fan December 12, 2009 Dirk Yang 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Pros:
1 Huge, good air flow
2 Low rpm, quiet
3 has a molex splitter
Cons:
1 cannot turn off the LED
2 The screws coming with it are silver, if you use it as side panel fan for CM HAF 922, 932 etc, which happen to be black, the sliver screws look ugly.
3 Again if it's used as side panel fan for CM HAF 922, 932 etc, some tall CPU cooler may not be able to be installed. For my HAF 922, a Zalman CNPS9900(152mm) can barely fit in with this side panel fan.
This fan CAN work w/ HAF 922 LED On/Off switch November 23, 2009 Robert E. Ryan (SF Bay Area) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
@ Nathan D. Henderson...and anyone else interested in this fan, or the version with the blue LEDs
Making the LED on/off switch on the HAF 922 is EXTREMELY easy to do, and anyone with the most absolute basic level of experience using an exatco knife or scissors, a pair of wire strippers, and wrapping electrical tape can do it. For starters, you have two ways of doing this - with, or without, a "bridge connector". Almost any store carrying basic electronics connectors (ie. the male & female connectors found on the fan(s) & connector connected to the on/off LED switch), such as Fry's Electronics, Radio Shack, Micro Center, and any untold number of other stores, should carry the same 2-pin male & female connectors found on the Cooler Master 200mm fan. Say you want to have three such fans in your system...front, top, and side panel. All you have to do is create a bridge with one connector matching up to the 2-pin connector on the on/off switch, with the other end splitting into a 3-way connector, with all the connectors at the other end matching up to the 2-pin connectors on the fans. of course, to make this work properly, once the lead from the on/off switch connector end splits into their three respective connections, they will need to be of different lengths, so as to meet their respective fans. Alternately, you can create the same 1-into-3 configuration, from on/off switch, to fans, without the bridge, but the bridge is highly recommended, as i am doing with my HAF 922. The reason for this is, should any single fan fail, replacing the fan is as simple as disconnecting the 2-pin LED connector, as well as the molex power connector, swapping fans, and reconnecting the molex & 2-pin connectors. Now, is that so difficult? As I said, all it takes is two simple tools, and some electrical tape. of course, if you want it to look professional, you can take the extra step, as I'm doing, and, instead of using electrical tape, solder the wires, followed by covering them with heatshrink tubing.
