| Customer Reviews: Very Good Drill August 4, 2010 Michael W. Edmond (Soddy Daisy, Tn. United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Makita Makita BHP452HW 18-Volt Compact Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/2-Inch Driver-Drill Kit with Hammer Mode drill that I bought thru Amazon seems to be a very good deal. It has the case, two batteries, and has a quality feel to it. Good drill for the money.
Just what I wanted! August 2, 2010 J. Young (New Mexico) Very happy with this product. It does exactly what I want it to do with plenty of battery left!
Best lite weight cordless drill? July 28, 2010 M. J. Davis (Annapolis, MD) I bought this drill after using a friend's and being impressed with its power, low weight and feel, and the speed the batteries charge. Consumer reports rated a Dewalt higher, but that drill is heavier and overkill for my use. I usually use one of my corded drills for heavier jobs.
I love my Makita! July 28, 2010 Lon in Minn I ordered my new Makita a few weeks ago to replace my over 30 year old Makita. since that time I have used it several times.....It performs every bit as well as stated. I saw some other comments to the effect it is not a hammer drill, I don't know what the respondents were looking for but mine IS and it functions very well in that capacity. The recharge time is VERY fast the balance and grip os comfortable and makes it easy to use. I wold order from Makita again in a heart beat. There is no doubt that I DO love my new Makita! Lon
Great deal! July 19, 2010 Omintech I got this kit at a great deal from Amazon for $149. The cost without the drill is already over $149, so the investment is well worth it. I've been using an 18v Milwaukee that's suffering from old age and I thought it was time to buy new. After doing some extensive research online and in stores, I found this Makita kit to be a great set. It's the smallest and lightest hammerdrill on the market and provides good power and versatility for the price. I was also considering options from Hitachi and Dewalt, but this kit just seemed to have it all; great price, good power, excellent flexibility and awesome portability. You can do the research for yourself. For $149, this kit can't be beat.
