| Customer Reviews: Great Deal July 22, 2010 C. Lewton (USA) I bought this after I bought the sharpening stone kit by Smiths. I bought this one because I needed the serrated edge sharpen stone and find I don't even use the double stone kit anymore. This sharpener didn't work at all when I first bought it. Because it has a lanyard and so easy to use - I kept using it. I found after about forty minutes of breaking it in - - AWESOME. It sharpens surgical sharp just be very careful because it is a bit hard to use at the end of the stroke. It is well worth the money! It fits right into my survival kit! It is super effective and very affordable....

Better sharpeners out there July 19, 2010 Steven M. Sullivan (Philadelphia, Pa USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Convenient size, very cheap plastic body, the diamond coated sharpener is just about useless. The other sharpeners on it work well.
all around sharpener July 8, 2010 JCD3 I use this on all of my knives. This replaced the other sharpeners that I had.
Sigh...it works great June 15, 2010 Action Jackson (Illinois) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have several bench stones and all kinds of sharpening gadgets. I guess if I had to have just one, this may be it. I sigh, because I do enjoy the ability to sharpen freehand on a stone which is definitely an acquired skill. However, this really does a a great job that is hard to beat. I judge the angle at 22.5 degrees on each side which is a good trade off between durability and sharp. Some mentioned that it feels flimsy...it is plastic, but that makes it very light and you forget it is even in your pocket. The carbide sharpeners do ok and getting a knife pretty sharp, and the ceramic sharpeners get that edge really cleaned-up. On the serrated blades, the fold down sharpener works nicely. It has the ceramic sharpener can also be used for serrated edges, but I don't like this approach as it sharpens the tops of the edges. However, it does this ok, if you like this approach. ...and all of this fits on a key chain.
for the tackle box June 13, 2010 Claudio Migliore (Miami, Fl United States) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Very cheaply made, still ok for the job. Diamond steel convincing, carbide teeth not so much. Still it may be a life saver in a compact form factor.
