 GOOD BUT NOT GREAT May 28, 2010

WELL, I HAD HIGH HOPES FOR THIS TOOL. I HAVE USED IT SEVERAL TIMES NOW CHANGING OIL FOR FRIENDS. THE SMALLER THE BOLT HEAD YOU TRY TO USE THIS ON THE MORE IT SLIPS AND LOOSES ITS GRIP. NOW, IF YOU USE IT ON A BOLT HEAD CLOSE TO 3/4" IT IS WONDERFUL. I GUESS WHAT I AM SAY IS, FOR THIS TOOL TO WORK CORRECTLY.....BIGGER IS BETTER! (THE BOLT HEAD THAT IS)

This tool, like most other tools, works incredibly well when used on applications for which it was designed. The overwhelming majority of the negative, or poor, reviews seem to be related more to the location of a bolt or clearance issues and these are separate issues. This tool performs exceptionally well when properly used. True, for individuals who have poor dexterity or limited hand strength this may not be the best tool for you, but shifting your grip out toward the end of the handles can really increase your strength via leverage. Miracle tool, this is not, but worth the money for its intended usage...absolutely. Out here in bush Alaska we buy tools because they work, not because they are a novelty. Tools don't "find a place" in my tool box, they earn it and this tool has made a home for itself. I'm looking at purchasing more for gifts for friends and family.

Most ingenious product. Works perfectly as described. Particularily useful securely gripping a circular item. To avoid marring the surface I wrap the item with 1/16" leather.
