| Customer Reviews: Weller WLC100 Soldering Station July 29, 2010 Preacher G (Blues de Ville) Went thru a lot of $9.99 POS in my time. Only seemed to need a solder iron once in a blue moon. Then I needed to do a PCB circuit board with caps and resistors and everythang. This iron will do a marvelous job when variable rates of heat are needed. The chisel tip that comes with it can be challenging, I'm going conical next DIY. All in all this did just what was advertised and seems very well put together. Forsee no problems and would buy again in a heartbeat.
Weller WLC100 Soldering Station July 13, 2010 Jlrc47 Over the years I purchased basic $15 or less soldering irons but you get what you pay for. The tips don't last and they burn out.
The Weller WLC100 Soldering Station is the best bang for your buck. It ideal for the type of work I do in Model Railroading.
I did not need a very pricey Soldering Stations.
Very good for Computer or Automotive Projects July 1, 2010 TK This solder set is perfect for you'll need to solder electronics whether it be for car or computer. It has adjusting heat, up to 40watts on the iron itself but up to over 400 watts from the distribution block. I would recommend buying extra tips with different sizes for what ever project you may be needing it for. The sponge on the side comes in handy for cleaning the tips and the holder for the iron is secure in place. I used mine to solder bulbs on the back of my tahoe cluster to replace the blown ones that GM decided to make un-replaceable. Also i used it to remove and solder chips and resistors that had busted on a motherboard. Good set!!
Good Stuff! June 17, 2010 M. Little I use this for my radio controlled cars. Works very well. Delevers quick heat to small parts without heat damage. Fits nicely on my workbench. Been wanting a Weller for a long time. I feel this was a very good buy.
Soldering Station - Weller June 13, 2010 Marilyn W. Wilson (Helotes, TX, US) Being able to adjust the temperature of your iron with a simpe click is wonderful. Wouldn't do without it for staineld glass and other projects. This one is for my grandson doing soldering of I don't know what, but I felt you couldn't beat a Weller.
